.meet carolyn, the chemartist.

Carolyn L. Ladd is an abstract mixed-media artist based in Phoenixville, PA who explores the intersection of art, science, gender, and neurodiversity through experimental techniques and playful curiosity. Influenced by their background as a chemist, Ladd believes that art and science together can transform our understanding of the world and our place in it,  challenging viewers to think beyond binaries. 

Through experimentation and serendipity, Ladd embraces the unexpected, allowing the creative process to guide them toward new and uncharted territories through color, texture, movement, and mixed media including acrylics, ink, paper, ceramics, wax, graphite, and more.
